That's actually kind of an interesting coincidence. I know you won't believe me because you seem unable to see beyond the labels you put on people and you can't imagine anyone you don't like having anything even remotely in common with you, but the fact of the matter is I am also 42 years old. I have found that, at any age, I have enjoyed life much more when I have been less uptight, and less when I have been more uptight.

Tiger, I suspect you and I will never see eye to eye on many matters, and I really can't address all the issues in your post, but I want to say that I seriously think the part I quoted above is the right approach to things, and a genuinely good idea. While I did not personally take part in the highsec gankings (not because of any moral issue, but I didn't have the time or the characters in my accounts for it), I do think the people doing them would have enjoyed the extra challenge that this would have brought. It really is a respectable response that would have enhanced the gameplay for everyone involved.

As for the moderation on these forums, I think every single goon will agree that it is terrible, though maybe for different reasons. And before I go any further, I want to apologize in advance to the ISD volunteers who do the best they can with a history of CCP moderation tainting every action. In any case, it is completely inconsistent, even capricious in nature, and it encourages a lack of respect for the forums among everyone who has gotten screwed over by it.

However, I do think it's hard to start a civil conversation with a shot like, "Group X needs to go." You really can't expect a civil response to that.

To be fair, though, I have also had my share of frustrations with Eve and it's hard not to lash out at people when that happens.
